Why I’m here

Leadership is a privilege, but it can also be heavy. When you are the one everyone relies on, you often lose the space to think, the freedom to breathe, and the clarity to see the road ahead. Most leaders carry more than they admit. I know that feeling because I have lived it.

I coach leaders who want clarity without the noise and accountability without the ego. Leaders who are ready to stay sharp, stay ahead, and build businesses that can run without their constant involvement.

If you are here, you are probably already doing well. But let's face it, how often do you get the level of feedback you really need to hear, even when it is not necessarily what you want to hear? My job is to help you lead at the level your future requires.

My leadership story

I did not take a straight path into leadership.

The first lesson came before my career did, when I walked on to the University of Arizona football team. Nobody handed me a spot, and nothing about keeping it was guaranteed. That experience still shapes how I coach today. You earn your edge every day, or you lose it quietly.

After football, I started by carrying a sales bag, learning how to grind, build relationships, and perform under pressure. I worked my way into management, then into executive roles, across startups and multi-billion-dollar companies. I moved countries. I led teams across cultures. I made big calls with real consequences.

Along the way, I experienced both sides of leadership. I earned promotions. I built teams. I led through uncertainty. I was also fired. I rebuilt. I learned the difference between working hard and leading well.

I discovered something leaders rarely talk about. The higher you climb, the fewer people you can trust with the truth. Leadership becomes lonely, and the pressure becomes personal. That experience shaped the coach I eventually became.

The Turning Point

Over the course of my career, I watched leaders rise, stall, and sometimes fall. But the experience that shaped me the most came long before my executive roles. It came from watching my dad’s business. He and his partner built something meaningful, but over time they stopped innovating, stopped planning, and stopped imagining what the company could become. When the market shifted, they were caught flat-footed. Without a clear vision or a plan for transition, the business slowly declined.

I tried to help him see what was coming. Reinvent the business. Adapt. Think ahead. But his identity was tied so tightly to the company that stepping back, or even thinking about what came next, felt impossible. He wasn’t just stuck in the business. He was stuck in himself. And he didn’t have a coach who could walk him through that fear with clarity and honesty.

That experience stayed with me. It taught me how destructive it can be when leaders wait too long to evolve. It taught me that without vision, intentional planning, and identity work, even great businesses can erode. And it taught me what it looks like when a leader needs help but doesn’t know how to ask for it. I didn’t have the tools back then to guide my dad, but I have them now.

That is why I coach. To help leaders see what they cannot see, prepare for what they are not yet ready to face, and build businesses that can thrive long after they step away.

My coaching approach

I work on the person first, then the problem. I believe leadership is identity work, and I work best with leaders who want to think differently, not just behave differently. Leaders who appreciate candor, introspection, and real conversations that move them forward.

When the leader changes, everything they touch changes with them.

My coaching is built on a few core principles:

  • Identity before tactics
  • Perspective as a competitive advantage
  • Accountability with empathy
  • Calm clarity in high-pressure environments
  • Freedom as the ultimate leadership outcome

What it's like to work with me

I coach the way I led. I listen closely. I tell the truth, even when it is uncomfortable. I help you slow down enough to see clearly and move fast enough to stay ahead. I hold you accountable to the identity you say you want, not the habits you have outgrown.

If you want a cheerleader, I am not your guy. If you want a coach who will help you evolve, that is where I do my best work.

I coach from lived reality, not from theory.
